Moms. They come in all stages of life; brand new with diapers and bibs, and seasoned with an empty nest and visiting grandchildren. Some crave nothing more than a day together and some crave nothing more than a nap and Netflix.

The gift ideas are here to spark creative thoughts for what your mother would love to receive; keeping in mind that in many cases the best gift does not come in a package.

Gifts can come with a hug and a I’m taking you out to lunch. It can be a matinee with a pile of her favorite candies on her lap. It can be the gift of reprieve or the gift of gathering.

And perhaps one of these gifts is the very thing YOU want so you can share the link with your brood.

Happy Mother’s Day (May 8).

Give her the gift of a quiet house and spa experience.

A beautiful bangle.

A book making experience you can do together. Keep other local craft events in mind as well.

Perhaps sleuth out her favorite flower.

For gardening and house tools.

A little something sweet just for her.

Splurge on some everyday comfort.

Perhaps lasting dried flowers instead of fresh.

Birth flower rings.

A tote just for her.

For a photo, pressed flower or feather.

Calm reminders.

Send her to the beach for the day - fill with magazines.

Maine driftwood earrings.

To brighten the kitchen.

Wrap her up in love.

And be sure to offer to hang it for her too.

A sweet piece of art.

Bookend beauties.

A cozy gift.

For the earth mother.

For bath time or anytime.

A lovely everyday earring.

Pack a picnic and explore.

Give her the night off.

A perfect hat.

A playful puzzle.

There’s no link. Just give her a fun movie night; whether at home or out.

For the gardening mom.

A decadent gift.

Does she love to read? Love to peruse? Keep books in mind too.

For a restful home.

Pair the apron with her favorite cookbook.

Is there something she has been eyeing?

Treat her to a day-pass at a local resort.

Consider a live plant instead of flowers.

You choose the fun candle vessel and give the two together.

Made you look! Comes in other joyful colors too.

A fun evening activity.

Just because.

For her nightstand.

A lovely read.

My eye-mask has granted me even better sleep!

For the kitchen or a ring dish by her bedside.

You can each have one and chuckle when video chatting.

Delicate hankies.

Post Script

What would she love the most? It might be time together, it might be something handmade. Plan now so you are ready for May 8.

The more the merrier! Feel free to share today’s post.
